Where little voices grow big in two languages
Señora Nora blends warm, hands-on care with full Spanish immersion — so your child plays, laughs, and grows fluent for life.
Meet Señora Nora
¡Bienvenidos! Welcome! I’m Señora Nora, a native Spanish speaker from Puerto Rico and a certified K-12 educator since 1998. My passion is helping children develop a love for the Spanish language through engaging, interactive, and age-appropriate lessons.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of teaching preschoolers, elementary and high school students, as well as adults. Working with learners of all ages has given me the experience and understanding needed to meet each student’s unique learning style and help them succeed.
As a native speaker, I have also enjoyed traveling throughout Spain, Mexico, the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico, allowing me to share authentic language, culture, and traditions with my students.
Why learn Spanish early?
Research shows that the best time for children to learn a new language is between the ages of two and ten (2–10). During these early years, children naturally absorb language, develop authentic pronunciation, and build confidence in communicating. Studies have also found that learning a second language can strengthen problem-solving skills, enhance creativity, improve academic performance, and increase cultural awareness.
My Program
My goal is to provide children with the skills and confidence to communicate in Spanish while making learning FUN. Through songs, games, movement, storytelling, and hands-on activities, children develop listening, speaking and vocabulary skills in an enjoyable and supportive environment. My lessons are thoughtfully developed using the World-Readiness Standards for Learning Languages known as the 5 Cs — communication, culture, connections, comparisons, and communities. These standards were created by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese. They are the standards currently used in our public-school systems for all language learners. They provide a road map that encourages students to do more than simply learn vocabulary.
Spanish is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world and the second most spoken language in the Western Hemisphere. Learning Spanish opens doors to new friendships, cultures, future academic and career opportunities.
I would be honored to help your child begin this exciting journey. With my experience, native fluency, and genuine love for teaching, I strive to create a positive learning environment where every child feels safe, confident, engaged, and inspired to learn.
I look forward to meeting your family and welcoming your child to this remarkable Spanish program with Señora Nora!
